Southwest Jicama Slaw

A regionally-inspired blend, our Smokin’ Southwest Chipotle Seasoning adds a smoky flavor to your favorite dishes! Sprinkle it on meat, in a stew or soup, and your favorite vegetable dishes for a zesty kick!

Ingredients – dressing

  • 1 cup Light Mayo
  • Juice of 2 fresh limes
  • ¼ cup Pineapple Juice
  • 2 tbls olive oil
  • Smokin’ Texas Gourmet Smokin’ Chipotle Sauce
  • ½ tbsp Smokin’ Texas Gourmet Smokin’ Chipotle Seasoning

Directions – dressing

  1. Add mayo to a small mixing bowl
  2. Add lime juice, pineapple juice, Smokin’ Chipotle Seasoning, and olive oil to mayo, then mix together by hand until smooth
  3. Add Smokin’ Chipotle Sauce to taste, gradually while stirring
  4. Set aside for dressing the slaw

Ingredients – slaw

  •  2 large Jicama – shredded and water squeezed out
  • 1 small Red Cabbage – shredded
  • 3 bundles Spring Onion – chopped (include green stems)
  • 1 Vidalia or other Sweet Onion – chopped
  • 1 ½ cup shredded carrots – shredded

Directions – slaw

  1. Add together all ingredients into a large mixing bowl and mix together by hand
  2. Add dressing a little at a time and mix to desired taste and consistency
