Creole Hot Crab Dip

This seasoning blend jazzes up fish, meat, rice, soups and stews. Use it in your favorite Gumbo or Red Beans and Rice recipe for a true New Orleans culinary experience!


  • 16 oz. Whipped Cream Cheese
  • ¼ cup Light Mayonnaise
  • 1/8 cup Sour Cream
  • 1/8 cup Heavy Cream
  • 2 Tbls. Butter (melted)
  • 16 oz. Lump Crab Meat (flaked)
  • Juice of ½ Lemon
  • ½ Tbls. Dill
  • Shredded Cheddar and Panko mixture (1:1, optional for topping when baking)
  • 1 large round crusty bread (hollowed, reserve removed bread for making croutons)
  • 1 Tbls. Smokin’ Texas Gourmet Smokin’ Creole Seasoning


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  2. Mix together cream cheese, mayo, sour cream, and butter
  3. Add heavy cream and stir together
  4. Stir in Smokin’ Creole Seasoning and dill
  5. Add juice of ½ lemon to the flaked crabmeat and stir together
  6. Fold crabmeat into cheese mixture
  7. Add mixture to casserole dish and bake 20 minutes
  8. Serve as-is in casserole dish or bake in hollowed crusty bread
  9. Serve with chips, crackers, toast points, or vegetable crudités
